Job Title: Engineering Manager

Role Summary
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering activities and maintenance practices across the company's sites.
The primary goal is to ensure maximum plant availability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations:
Implement and manage best-in-class preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and plant availability.
Set and achieve key performance indicator (KPI) targets, including power, steam, and Repair & Maintenance (R&M) costs.
Drive continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Manage the engineering store, including inventory of spares and consumables.
Conduct daily morning meetings and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any plant downtime.
Project Management:
Lead and manage engineering projects from feasibility to commissioning, including both "Brownfield" (existing) and "Greenfield" (new) sites.
Provide technical support and guidance to the on-site engineering teams.
Prepare maintenance budgets and capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals, taking full ownership of maintenance costs.
Technical Expertise:
Possess strong knowledge of Feed Mill operations and related equipment, such as Silos, Conveyors, Hammer Mills, Mixers, Pellet Mills, Extruders, and other key machinery.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of plant utilities, including steam boilers, air compressors, Gensets, water treatment plants, and fire protection systems.
(For Mechanical background) Possess basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Proficient in engineering software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CMMS, AutoCAD).
Leadership & Management:
Develop and implement departmental goals and strategies.
Lead and mentor a competent maintenance team.
Ensure strict safety compliance across all sites.
Collaborate with the procurement team to establish annual maintenance contracts, negotiate terms, and develop alternative or local vendors.
Strong leadership, team management, cross-functional coordination, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
Experience: 12 - 15 years of progressive experience in maintenance within a large-scale manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or department head role.
