Atmosfair climate and sustainability Itd is a Nigerian German social company dedicated to fighting climate change and deforestation while promoting renewable energy, decarbonization, poverty reduction and rural livelihoods.
Reflecting the challenges in Nigeria, atmosfair's core business is to set up and operate a large- scale domestic clean cook stove production and engage in innovative financing, manufacturing and sales solutions for high class, shiny and efficient Save80 stainless steel cook stoves available predominantly in the northern rural areas of Nigeria at affordable market prices.
Role Overview
As the Sales and Business Development Manager, you will lead the sales efforts and drive expansion strategies for the Save80 Clean Cook Stove project in Nigeria.
Your role will focus on accelerating sales growth, developing innovative business models, and strengthening market presence, while building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for Save80 stoves across the northern states and the wider Nigerian market.
Set ambitious sales targets and ensure their achievement through continuous performance monitoring and strategic adjustments.
Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team of sales agents, offering ongoing mentorship and support.
Spearhead the nationwide expansion of the Save80 Cookstoves project across Nigeria.
Design and implement innovative business models, including partnerships with banks and microfinance institutions.
Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and forge strategic partnerships.
Establish, maintain and grow strong relationships with local sales partners and distribution networks.
Negotiate terms and contracts with partners and key stakeholders to ensure sustainable collaboration.
Collaborate closely with Production, Marketing and Monitoring and Evaluation teams to ensure strategic alignment and cohesive execution of initiatives.
Provide hands-on leadership in key operational areas, including securing local warehouse facilities and establishing strong business partnerships.
Oversee efficient logistics and distribution of Save80 stoves to ensure timely delivery and supply chain effectiveness.
Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts aligned with business goals.
Understand and apply micro-credit systems and cash flow management, particularly in sales to low-income groups.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to guide sales strategies and uncover emerging opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities and stay updated on industry trends and developments.
Deliver regular, comprehensive reports on sales performance, market dynamics and key performance indicators to senior management.
Leverage data analytics to support data-driven decisions and continuously refine sales strategies.
In fulfilling these responsibilities, you will report directly to the General Manager of Climate Mitigation Projects and the broader Management Team, which is partially based in Germany.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a BSc. or Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 5 years corporate B2B and B2C direct selling and sales management/relationship, management experience in related industries.
Proven track record in Business development, particularly in sales to low-income target groups.
Demonstrated experience working with intermediaries and associations to expand reach and ensure security.
Practical experience with micro-credits and understanding of cash flow management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performance teams.
Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach with a passion for sales.
Ambitious and performance-driven personality with a passion for sales.
Willingness to work in a hybrid role combining remote work, on-site presence in Kano, and occasional travel.
Deep motivation to contribute to the fight against climate change.
Business-fluent English is required. Proficiency in other local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or Fulfulde) is a significant advantage.
What We Offer
Full time permanent employment with hybrid structure that includes remote work.
A monthly salary of N1,600,000 with performance-based incentives and clear opportunities for career advancement.
Standard full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Additional hours may be required to meet production targets, including occasional weekend work. All extra hours will be appropriately compensated.
