We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Private Chef (Home-Based)

Location: Lekki Phase 1 / Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Mondays to Saturdays | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Trial Requirement: Yes – (Trial meals will be prepared at the residence at the discretion of the client)
Client: High-level private household
Start Date: As soon as possible

• This Private Chef position is on behalf of a confidential high-net-worth client who values discretion, cleanliness, and culinary expertise in a home-based setting.

Assessment Details:

• Trial meal sessions will follow for shortlisted candidates in Victoria Island.
• Time: Mornings (9 AM – 12 PM).
• Days: Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, light dinner/snacks).
• Collaborate with the household to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and pantry areas.
• Source fresh and quality ingredients (or guide sourcing).
• Plate meals with restaurant-grade presentation.
• Manage pantry stock, plan weekly menus, and minimize food waste.
• Prepare meals for occasional guests or small private events.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND (Culinary/related field preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience as a private chef or in a high-end hospitality kitchen.
• Culinary expertise across local and continental dishes.
• Strong food safety and handling knowledge.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Creative, adaptable, and committed to excellence.
• Must possess a clean, neat, and presentable appearance.
