Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• A Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a designated area such as offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, public spaces, or private residences.
• This includes general cleaning duties, waste disposal, surface sanitization, and ensuring environments are orderly and safe.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.)
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Refill cleaning supplies and keep janitorial areas tidy
• Follow health and safety regulations
• Use cleaning machines and chemicals safely and appropriately
• Maintain cleaning schedules and logs.

Requirements
Experience:

• Entry-Level: No much experience required for basic cleaning roles.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments.
• Experience using cleaning machines (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners) is a plus.

Required Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Physical stamina and ability to work on feet for long periods
• Time management and ability to follow schedules
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions.
