Job Summary

• The position holder will be a dynamic, ethical, and strategic leader with deep experience in the financial services sector, strong knowledge of Nigeria’s housing finance ecosystem, and a proven track record of delivering value to stakeholders.
• The position holder is expected to work closely with the Board to shape and implement the bank’s long-term vision, sustain regulatory compliance, drive profitability, and expand the bank’s presence and impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Bank in alignment with its mission, regulatory obligations, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop and execute growth-oriented strategies that promote sustainable profitability and operational efficiency.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with regulators (e.g., CBN, NDIC), industry stakeholders, and investors.
• Ensure full compliance with all banking and mortgage-related regulations and standards.
• Lead a high-performing executive team and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and ethical conduct.
• Oversee risk management, corporate governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Champion digital transformation and product innovation to enhance customer experience.
• Represent the Bank in high-level engagements and communicate its vision effectively to internal and external audiences.
• Provide leadership and guidance during crises or challenging situations, demonstrating resilience, agility, and effective decision-making to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study required.
• A relevant Master’s degree or professional certification is highly desirable. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in any reputable financial institution with proven track records of achievement, with at least 5 years at managerial position/s of a reputable financial institution.
• Deep understanding of the mortgage banking industry coupled with strategic thinking skills is vital.
• Strong analytical skills are essential for evaluating financial data and assessing the bank's risk exposure.
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements governing mortgage banking is critical.
• The ability to make informed and timely decisions is paramount.
• Strong leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
