We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Biology Teacher

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Biology lessons in line with the national curriculum (e.g., WAEC/NECO syllabus).
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet students’ diverse learning needs.
• Conduct practical experiments, demonstrations, and lab activities to enhance scientific understanding.
• Integrate technology and real-life applications into lessons where appropriate.

Assessment & Evaluation:

• Design and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess student understanding.
• Mark and grade students' work promptly, giving constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Prepare students for internal and external exams through targeted revision and practice sessions.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Set clear expectations for behaviour and academic standards.
• Enforce school policies and classroom rules consistently and fairly.

Laboratory & Resource Management:

• Ensure proper handling, usage, and storage of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
• Monitor safety standards during practical sessions and maintain lab inventory.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, or related field (B.Sc./B.Ed.).
• TRCN certification (preferred or in progress).
• Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and UTME is an advantage.

Key Skills:

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology (both theoretical and practical).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Effective classroom and behavior management.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with ICT tools and e-learning platforms.
