Job Title: Motion Graphics / Animation Artist

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• As we invest more in dynamic visual content, we’re seeking a skilled Motion Graphics/Animation Artist who can bring ideas to life through animation and storytelling, making learning and brand communication more engaging.

Objective

• To conceptualize, design, and produce motion graphics and animated content that enhances learning materials, marketing campaigns, and user engagement on the Passnownow platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Create animated videos, explainers, intros/outros, and visual effects for educational and promotional content
• Design and animate characters, icons, typography, and transitions
• Collaborate with content writers, educators, designers, and marketers to translate ideas into visual narratives
• Edit raw video and audio assets for integration into final animation when needed
• Ensure animations align with the brand’s tone, goals, and style guide
• Stay current with animation trends and techniques to keep content fresh and relevant

KPI & Performance Metrics

• Volume and quality of completed animations per month
• Viewer engagement and retention rates on animated content
• Turnaround time for assigned projects
• Internal team feedback on creativity, clarity, and execution

Collaboration & Approval Workflows:

• Reports to the Head of Operations and Creative Lead
• Works closely with content creators, designers, and marketing team
• All animated projects to be reviewed and approved by creative or content leadership

Quality Control Expectations:

• High-resolution, platform-optimized animation outputs
• Smooth transitions, on-brand style, and clear messaging
• Proper use of pacing, audio syncing, and visual clarity for the target audience

Required Skills

• Proficiency in animation and motion design software (e.g., After Effects, Adobe Animate, Blender, Premiere Pro)
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and storytelling
• Ability to animate characters, icons, typography, and scenes
• Video editing and sound design experience is a plus
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
