Job Description

• A Biology Teacher is an educator specializing in teaching biology to students, typically at the middle or high school level.
• Their responsibilities include developing and delivering engaging lessons, conducting laboratory experiments, assessing student performance, and fostering a positive learning environment.
• They also collaborate with other teachers and staff, stay updated on advancements in the field, and may supervise extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Creating lesson plans, developing curriculum, and delivering engaging biology lessons that align with educational standards.
• Laboratory Instruction: Conducting experiments, teaching proper lab techniques, and ensuring student safety in the lab.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Assessing student understanding through various methods, providing feedback, and grading assignments, tests, and projects.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, managing student behavior, and fostering a love for science.
• Student Support: Providing individualized support and tutoring to students who need extra help, and addressing any learning challenges.
• Professional Development: Staying current with the latest advancements in biology, attending professional development opportunities, and collaborating with colleagues.
• Extracurricular Activities: Supervising or leading extracurricular activities related to biology, such as science clubs or fairs.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicating with parents, counselors, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience.
