Job Summary

• The job role involves educating students on the principles of chemistry, including chemical reactions, the periodic table, and laboratory techniques.
• They develop lesson plans, conduct experiments, assess student progress, and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
• They also participate in parent-teacher conferences, collaborate with colleagues, and stay updated on the latest advancements in chemistry education.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Creating and implementing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and developing instructional materials that align with the curriculum.
• Laboratory Instruction: Supervising and guiding students during laboratory experiments, ensuring safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluating student performance through various assessments (exams, quizzes, assignments), providing feedback, and maintaining student progress reports.
• Classroom Management: Creating a positive and engaging learning environment, fostering student participation, and maintaining classroom discipline.
• Collaboration and Communication: Participating in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and improve teaching practices.
• Professional Development: Staying updated with the latest developments in chemistry education, attending workshops, and seeking opportunities for professional growth.
• Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records, managing classroom materials, and reporting to school administration.
• Promoting a Positive School Culture: Encouraging high standards in all aspects of school life, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, and serving as a role model for students.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with at least 3 years work experience.
