Job Title: Video Editor (With After Effects Skills)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Summary

• We are seeking a talented and highly creative Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist to join our growing team.
• The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and expert-level skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• You will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished, high-impact videos and creating stunning motion graphics that elevate our projects for a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and edit raw video footage into high-quality, finished products for various platforms including social media, websites, and corporate presentations.
• Design, create, and implement engaging motion graphics, title sequences, lower thirds, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
• Collaborate closely with our creative team to understand project scope, objectives, and narrative direction.
• Perform colour grading, sound mixing, and sound design to enhance video quality and storytelling.
• Incorporate creative and effective transitions, graphics, and effects to produce visually stunning content.
• Manage and organize video files, project assets, and final deliverables efficiently.
• Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and meets technical specifications for delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and emerging technologies in video editing and motion graphics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven professional experience as a Video Editor.
• A strong and diverse portfolio/showreel is mandatory. Please provide a link to your work.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Strong working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite applications, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
• A solid understanding of video production and post-production workflows.
• Excellent grasp of visual storytelling, pacing, timing, and continuity.
• Creative mindset with impeccable attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).
• Proficiency in advanced colour grading using tools like DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience in creating animated explainer videos from concept to completion.
• A degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
