Job Description

• Production Pharmacist is tasked with the responsibility of managing the production operations in Saro Lifecare Limited Plant, along with ensuring total compliance with all regulatory bodies, also ensuring professionally ethical policies and procedures are in place within the production facility.
• Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and consumer packaged goods is required

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall production from the product's actual batch production process perspective, employing SOP, from appropriate materials dispensing, recipe adherence, formulation process, batch records, implementation of in-process standards, product quarantine and release in liaison with QA.
• Ensure that safe work policies, procedures, and standards are well-implemented to ensure continuous improvement across all processes on site.
• Work in synergy with Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure availability of adequate raw and packing materials, utilities, filters, and machine spare parts for seamless production process.
• Ensures the general cleanliness and hygienic conditions of the manufacturing areas.
• Drive breakthrough practices to achieve standard OEE.
• Implements optimization initiatives for optimum performance and efficiencies.
• Providing support, recipes on technical and research projects of pharmaceutical product formulation, pilot trials and packaging
• The incumbent is to support product research & NPD process, formulation management, in conjunction with new product development, Marketing and Sales teams.
• Work closely with and build relationships with Sales and Marketing to ensure all production volumes are met.
• Control and monitor value added product development including competitor product analysis, benchmarking market, product design, product matching, sensory analysis, recipe optimization, supplier rationalization and optimization programs.
• Provide recipes, tolerance data, relevant raw material specifications and costing information in the correct format, in a timely fashion, to allow the Centralized Resource team to create and finalize product information for successful pharmaceutical product launches.
• Work with Research and development team in the development and formulation of products, ensuring quality, safety and stability specification compliance of materials /inputs and formulations.
• Ensure total compliance to Good Distribution Practice and assess the pharmaceutical risk linked to sales & marketing operations.
• Prepare, review, and adhere to registration matters and requirements as laid down by the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Manages direct reports aligning deliverables with overall business strategic objectives.
• Build the High performing culture in production associates.
• Ensures 100% compliance with SARO core values and guidelines.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a second-class upper degree in pharmacy from a reputable institution.
• 3 - 5 years in the FMCG environment.
• Age Requirement: 26 – 32 Years.
• A current and valid Pharmacist's registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria and other relevant regulators.
• A strong grasp of pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines within Nigeria and across borders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and lasting relationships with patients, customers, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Skills And Competencies:
