Job Summary
An experienced and dedicated SAP PP QM Senior Consultant to join Dangote SAP Delivery Center in India. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of our integrated SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) solutions.
You'll work closely with business users from production, quality assurance, and supply chain to translate complex business requirements into effective SAP functionalities, optimize manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and drive operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in both SAP PP and QM modules, a proven track record of successful project participation with strong integration knowledge, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:
Collaborate with business stakeholders (Production Managers, Quality Managers, Engineers, Supply Chain) to thoroughly understand, analyze, and document complex business requirements for both Production Planning and Quality Management processes.
Translate detailed business requirements into clear functional specifications and robust SAP PP and QM solution designs, ensuring seamless integration between the modules.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to validate requirements and proposed solutions with key business users.
SAP PP Configuration & Customization:
Perform hands-on configuration and customization within the SAP PP module, covering a wide range of functionalities, including:
Master Data: Bill of Materials (BOMs), Routings/Recipes, Work Centers/Resources, Production Versions.
Quality Control: Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Quality Notifications: Internal/external notifications for defects, non-conformances (CAPA processes).
Test Equipment Management and Calibration.
Integration Expertise (PP-QM Focus):
Crucially, ensure seamless and robust integration between SAP PP and SAP QM processes. This includes configuring:
In-process and final inspection during production order/process order creation and confirmation.
Automatic triggering of inspection lots from production goods receipts and in-process steps.
Usage decision impact on production order status and inventory.
Quality notification creation directly from production issues.
Understand and manage integration points with other core SAP modules: SAP MM (Goods Receipts, Source Inspection, Vendor Quality), SAP SD (Quality Certificates for Sales Orders), SAP FI/CO (Production Costing, Quality Costs), SAP PM (Calibration, Maintenance).
Project Implementation & Testing:
Actively participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle, including blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.
Prepare detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEF objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) and collaborate effectively with ABAP developers.
Support data migration activities for PP/QM master data and transactional data.
Develop comprehensive test scripts, execute unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), and assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the functionality, performance, and integrity of integrated SAP PP and QM solutions.
User Training & Documentation:
Develop clear and user-friendly training materials and deliver training sessions to end-users and key users in both PP and QM functionalities.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
Ongoing Support & Optimization:
Provide expert Level 2/3 support for SAP PP and QM modules, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing corrective actions.
Analyze existing processes and system usage to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of SAP PP and QM functionalities.
Manage and prioritize incidents and change requests within your area of expertise.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience as an SAP PP Consultant and/or SAP QM Consultant.
Proven experience participating in at least 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects or significant enhancement/rollout projects, specifically involving both PP and QM modules and their integration.
Deep functional expertise in manufacturing processes (discrete, process, repetitive) and quality management principles.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing (including PP & QM) is highly desirable. Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 is also valuable.
Technical Proficiency:
In-depth knowledge of SAP PP and QM module configurations, master data, and transactional processes.
Critical understanding of integration points between PP and QM, and with other modules (MM, SD, FI/CO, PM).
Ability to write clear and detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEF objects).
Familiarity with ABAP debugging is an advantage.

Relevant SAP PP and/or QM Certification (SAP Certified Application Associate - Production Planning & Manufacturing / Quality Management).
Experience in a highly regulated industry
Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications relevant to production and quality processes.
Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integration with SAP PP.
Understanding of Batch Management or Serial Number Management.
