We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Travel Sales Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Sales / Travel and Tours
Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary

  • The Travel Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the travel sales team, developing business strategies to grow revenue, building strong client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • This role requires in-depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals and increase revenue.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the travel sales team to meet individual and team targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, group travel, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and tour operators.
  • Design and promote travel packages, tours, and services tailored to different market segments.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the market.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any client issues or complaints promptly.
  • Provide training and guidance to sales staff to improve their product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, expos, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in travel and tourism sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of travel industry operations and sales channels.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in booking systems and travel software (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre).
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with occasional travel for client meetings or industry events.
  • May require extended hours during peak seasons or while closing major deals.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
