The Opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Automation & Data Specialist to help transform how finance operates in a growing, multi-location organization.
You’ll work at the intersection of finance, systems, and AI, helping design smarter workflows, automate repetitive processes, and lay the groundwork for a finance function that’s real-time, intelligent, and scalable.

What You’ll Be Doing
Systems & Workflow Automation:
Map out existing data flows across multiple locations and identify automation opportunities.
Build or connect low-code/no-code tools (Zapier, Make.com, AppScript, etc.) to reduce repetitive tasks.
Automate the movement of financial data into ERP (Sage or similar) in near real-time.
AI-Driven Intelligence &Optimization:
Deploy AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Bard) to:
Auto-generate financial reports and reconciliations.
Detect inconsistencies or anomalies
Improve accuracy, documentation, and response timE.
Recommend and prototype AI workflows for daily finance operations
Design and implement automation workflows to eliminate manual overhead (e.g., invoicing,reconciliation, reporting).
Evaluate, integrate, and maintain AI-powered tools that streamline financial and operational processes.
Prototype and deploy LLM-powered agents (e.g., GPT, Claude) to support internal operations and decision-making.
Partner across finance, ops, and other functions to identify and act on high-impact automation opportunities.
Use tools like Zapier, Make.com, AppScript, or Python to connect disparate systems and processes.
Data & Performance Analytics:
Define and evolve real-time dashboards for company-wide metrics and OKRs
Lead deep-dive analyses on business performance and operational bottlenecks
Partner with team leads to deliver data solutions that improve decision-making
Build lightweight internal tools (dashboards, scripts, mini-apps) to support cross-functional initiatives.
Financial Systems & Reporting:
Build and maintain scalable internal reporting systems using modern tools and APIs
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with dynamic, data-driven models
Assist with board, investor, and audit reporting, streamlining data collection and improving quality through automation
Ensure data accuracy by partnering with external accounting providers and managing systems integrations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Own and run recurring workflows that keep the business moving, from invoicing and reconciliations to finance ops coordination
Act as the operational glue across teams, surfacing blockers, driving accountability, and improving handoffs.
Step into ambiguous operational gaps, bring structure, and implement sustainable solutions without waiting for permission.
Documentation & Handoff:
Create SOPs, training resources, and error-handling playbooks
Support team onboarding, conduct training sessions, and ensure the system is self-sustaining.
Who You Are
5–8 years experience in financial operations, automation, or ERP implementation
Familiar with ERPs (especially Sage), data integration, and basic scripting (Python,SQL)
Experience with tools like LangChain, Zapier, Make, Retool, AppScript, Google Sheets/Forms or internal tooling platforms
Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL)
Fluency in spreadsheets and modern data tools (Excel, Equals, Snowflake, Notion, etc.)
Obsessed with new technology, AI, LLMs, automation APIs, and AI agents, and how it can be leveraged to drive efficiency and business outcomes
Self-starter mentality with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize autonomously
Process and execution-oriented, with a proven ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion.
Nice to Have:
Experience in retail, FMCG, or distributed field operations.
