Director, Works and Maintenance Services Department at the Federal University of Kashere (FUK)

Federal University of Kashere was established in February 2011 (Establishment Act 2015) with the mandate to increase access to and quality of University education in Nigeria. The University, which currently has four (4) Faculties and a Postgraduate School with 42 Undergraduate and 46 Postgraduate Programmes respectively, is poised for accelerated expansion and excellence in academic activities.

Job Summary

• The Director Works and Maintenance Services is a Management staff answerable to the Vice- Chancellor on general works and maintenance services in the University.
• He/she is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all repairs and maintenance of infrastructures of the University.

The Person

• The Director must be a person of proven integrity who demonstrates transparency in public and private life as well as commands the respect and loyalty of staff of the University.
• He/she must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into work and maintenance services in line with the plans of the University.

Qualities and Qualifications
Candidates should possess the following:

• A good honors Degree (not lower than Second Class Division and Possession of Master Degree in relevant field is an advantage) in Building, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Estate Management from a recognized University with not less than fifteen (15) years cognate experience, eight (8) of which must be in a University system or similar tertiary Institution.
• Candidates must have attained the position of Deputy Director or its equivalent in a University system or Tertiary Institution;
• Candidate must be registered with the relevant professional bodies.
• Candidate must be computer literate with working knowledge of relevant software.

Conditions of Service

• The Conditions of Service attached to the position of Director, Works and Maintenance Services Department are as obtainable in Federal Universities in Nigeria.
• The salary and allowances are applicable to Officers on CONUNASS 15.
