Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, previously known as First Technical University, was established in 2012 by the Oyo State Government as Nigeria's premier Technical University with focus on entrepreneurial practices, innovation and sustainability. It commenced operation in 2017 and strives to bridge the skill gap between the competencies of University Graduates and Industry requirements by producing graduates that are market-ready by constantly aligning its curriculum to the realities of the world of work. It has continued to blaze the trail as the first Technical University in Nigeria by setting a precedent for functionfal university education in the region.
The University offers a range of academic programmes, including Mechatronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Food Science and Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, Surveying and Geoinformatics, among others housed within three (3) major faculties: Natural and Applied Science: Engineering and Technology: Environmental Science and Management. Notably, the University is among the first of its kind to be accredited for Forensic Science, aside from the Nigeria Police Academy.
In accordance with the provisions in Section 7(2) and 12(1) of the Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan Law, 2024 as well as Article 5 of the First schedule of the Law, the Council of the University invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacant position below:

The Position
By virtue of the Establishment Law, the Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University except as regards matters for which the Bursar is responsible in accordance with Sections 6 and 7 of the First Schedule.
The Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
The Registrar is the repository of University documents/records and the archives of the University history.
By virtue of this responsibility, the Registrar has an enviable carriage in the larger society and thus honour, privilege and respect deserving of the occupant of the office.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a good honours degree (minimum of second class lower) from a recognized University with at least 15 years cognate experience and must have served at a Senior administrative level for at least five years.
In addition, applicants must possess a higher degree and must be ICT compliant.
Membership of relevant (especially ANUPA) and recognized professional bodies is mandatory. Applicants must have occupied the position of a Deputy Registrar preferably in a University and should not be older than 60 years as at the possible date of assumption of duty.

The candidate shall be a person of rounded character and personality with axcellent interpersonal relations. Such a person must be able to instill confidence in others and command the loyalty and respect of people.
The candidate must fully understand the complexity complexity of a university System and respect of Seople the capable of bringing out the best in the subordinates.
Candidates must enjoy good physical physical and mental health and must have must have high integrity so as to Inspire and maintain discipline among staff and students.
Conditions of Service
The successful applicant shall hold the position for a single term of five (5) years on such conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to theposition of the University Registrar in the Nigerian University system and as may be determined from time to time by the Governing Council of the University.
