Achievers University, Owo was approved and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2007. The institution commenced academic activities on 2nd April, 2008. The University, which is situated in a serene and conducive environment, has matriculated 13 sets of students and ‘graduated nine sets of 'Achiever' who are making their marks in all spheres of human endeavours. The University now fully operates at its permanent site at Km 1, Idasen-Ute Road, Owo.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject area with at least three (3) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research as well as a good number of publications with outstanding academic quality, originality and contribution to knowledge in an emerging area of interest in local and international journals.
• Holders of a good Master's Degree with evidence of registration for Ph.D. and progress report as well as a substantial number of publications and teaching experience can also apply.
• Registration with professional bodies, where applicable, is compulsory.
• For disciplines in the College of Medicine Clinical Specialities (Faculties of Clinical Sciences), candidates must possess MBBS or BDS, which should be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• They must also have an appropriate MDCN-registered Specialty Fellowship of any of the Postgraduate Medical Colleges.

• Salary, allowances and other benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, are as approved by the Governing Council of Achievers University, and are favourably compared with what obtains in other public and private universities.
