Achievers University, Owo was approved and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2007. The institution commenced academic activities on 2nd April, 2008. The University, which is situated in a serene and conducive environment, has matriculated 13 sets of students and graduated nine sets of "Achievers" who are making their marks in all spheres of human endeavours. The University now fully operates at its permanent site at Km 1, Idasen-Ute Road, Owo.

Job Title: Reader (Associate Professor) -  Chemical Pathology

Qualifications and Requirements

• The candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject areas with at least twelve (12) years of teaching, research, community service and professional experience in a university or any other tertiary research-oriented institution.
• Applicants must have a record of substantial publications in local and international journals, evidence of postgraduate supervision, and the ability to initiate and develop research.
• The candidates, who must have been Associate Professors (Readers) for a minimum of three (3) years, must be willing to initiate and develop courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and must be able to supervise postgraduate students, including doctorate students, in his/ her area of discipline.
• In addition, candidates must demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, evidence of teamwork as well as administrative experience in working with interdisciplinary groups.
• Registration with professional bodies, where applicable, is compulsory.

• Salary, allowances and other benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, are as approved by the Governing Council of Achievers University, and are favourably compared with what obtains in other public and private universities.
