If you have structured finance departments or built systems from scratch in a fast-paced business, this is your opportunity to own the entire finance engine of an ambitious startup.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Department Structure:
Design and implement end-to-end accounting processes, internal controls, SOPs, and reporting systems.
Set up accounting systems/tools and build a chart of accounts tailored to hospitality operations.
Develop and enforce financial policies, authorisation protocols, and audit standards.
Financial Operations:
Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, reconciliations, bank operations, and inventory costing.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage payroll inputs, statutory deductions, and liaise with HR and Operations to ensure financial accuracy.
Budgeting, Reporting & Compliance:
Lead budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
Prepare cash flow statements, P&L, and financial health reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure full compliance with tax obligations, financial regulations, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Strategic Finance & Insight:
Generate insights to optimize spending, improve margins, and guide pricing strategies.
Support fundraising and investor readiness through accurate records and financial reporting.
Advise management on financial risks, capital allocation, and growth sustainability.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or equivalent (Mandatory).
3 - 5 years post-qualification experience in accounting or finance.
Strong exposure to startups, consulting firms, or businesses where you helped build finance operations from the ground up.
Excellent knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, hospitality finance (an advantage), and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
High attention to detail, critical thinking, and process-minded.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Are:
A financial architect – who enjoys building systems and structures from scratch.
Someone who believes discipline unlocks growth.
A proactive communicator who can simplify financial matters for non-finance stakeholders.
Analytical, principled, and passionate about adding value through numbers.
What We Offer
A blank slate for you to create the financial heartbeat of a promising company.
Direct access to decision-makers and the opportunity to influence growth strategy.
