We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To plan, direct, and coordinate sales strategies that drive business growth, achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships, while leading and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to ensure goals are met.

Business Development & Client Relationship Management:

  • Identify, approach, and secure new customers in target markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Recruit, train, and coach sales representatives to achieve optimal performance.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against set KPIs.
  • Foster a positive, results-driven sales culture that encourages teamwork and accountability.

Sales Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee sales pipelines, leads, and conversion rates using CRM tools.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of sales transactions, agreements, and communications.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to design campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs and market trends to guide product development and marketing strategies.

Customer Service & Retention:

  • Ensure sales activities align with customer satisfaction goals.
  • Address client complaints promptly and effectively to retain business.
  • Implement after-sales follow-up strategies.

Compliance & Ethical Standards:

  • Ensure sales practices comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Promote ethical selling and transparent communication with clients.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Market share growth percentage.
  • Customer acquisition rate vs. retention rate.
  • Sales conversion rate from leads.
  • Customer satisfaction and repeat business metrics.
  • Team productivity and turnover rates.

Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems, and negotiation tactics.
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a diverse sales team.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and ROI.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client sites, trade shows, or branch locations.

Salary
N100,000 Monthly.
