Job Title: Bread Dispatcher

Reports To: Bakery Supervisor / Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a Bread Dispatcher to oversee and coordinate the timely distribution of bread products from the bakery to vendors, branches, and clients.
The role ensures that all deliveries are scheduled efficiently, products are handled with care, and bread arrives fresh and on time.
The Bread Dispatcher will manage delivery schedules according to invoices, monitor inventory, maintain accurate distribution records, and ensure correct product differentiation between standard bread and rough bread.
This position is key to maintaining smooth supply chain operations, upholding quality standards, and achieving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily bread deliveries to vendors and branches.
Coordinate with drivers and loaders to ensure bread is loaded promptly and accurately according to raised invoices.
Monitor bread inventory levels and liaise with the packaging and production teams to meet delivery demands.
Maintain accurate delivery and distribution records, ensuring all vendor record notes are updated.
Resolve supply issues, delivery delays, or invoice discrepancies promptly.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and transportation regulations.
Communicate delivery times to vendors according to their invoice numbers.
Collaborate with loaders to ensure correct handling and unloading procedures.
Ensure proper identification and separation of standard bread from rough bread before dispatch.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage.
Proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or related roles (preferably in the bakery or food industry).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
Knowledge of food safety and transportation compliance requirements.
High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, as needed.
Numeracy Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations for quantity tracking and invoice reconciliation.
