Job Title: Group Head, Subsidiary & Operations

Reports To: Group Managing Director
Direct Reports: Heads of Subsidiaries (Mobile & Tablets, Computing, PAC – Power, Accessories, Consumer Electronics, Prints & Supplies)
Role Purpose
The Group Head, Subsidiary Business & Operations is responsible for providing strategic oversight, operational alignment, and business development leadership across all Group subsidiaries.
The role’s primary objective is to build, consolidate, and formalize proper subsidiary structures— ensuring each operates as a profitable, well-governed, and strategically aligned business unit.
This position is accountable for translating the Group’s vision into subsidiary-specific strategies, integrating operations, and driving synergy between business units for sustainable growth and market leadership.
Design and implement a standardized subsidiary structure framework (governance, reporting, operational standards) across all five (5) subsidiaries.
Align subsidiary business plans with Group objectives and ensure consistent execution across all units.
Consolidate and streamline overlapping processes, resources, and market approaches to improve efficiency and profitability.
Performance & P&L Oversight:
Provide oversight for the financial performance of all subsidiaries, ensuring profitability, cash flow health, and cost efficiency.
Develop group-wide KPIs and reporting systems to monitor subsidiary performance in real-time.
Intervene strategically in underperforming subsidiaries to address root causes and restore growth.
Reseller Channel Management:
Establish strong, trust-based relationships with key resellers, distributors, and other channel partners.
Design and implement reseller incentive programs to increase loyalty and sales volumes.
Monitor reseller performance and address conflicts or service gaps promptly.
Operational Excellencet:
Implement efficient processes for procurement, inventory management, order fulfilment, and after-sales service.
Deploy systems for tracking performance metrics and reporting to Group headquarters.
Ensure the subsidiary maintains high standards of quality, service delivery, and brand consistency.
Leadership & Talent Development:
Provide leadership to all subsidiary Heads, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines within each subsidiary.
Promote continuous learning, innovation, and accountability at all levels.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure all subsidiaries operate in compliance with regulatory requirements and Group policies.
Establish and maintain robust internal control systems and risk management frameworks.
Key Deliverables:
Fully documented and operationalized subsidiary structure framework within the first 6 months.
Achieve group-level revenue and profitability targets.
Measurable synergy gains across subsidiaries (shared resources, cross-selling, reduced duplication).
Strong operational governance and reporting discipline across all subsidiaries.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in multi-business management within a reseller/distribution/FMCG environment.
Proven track record in building and consolidating subsidiary/business unit structures.
Strong financial management and operational leadership experience.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
