Job Title: General Manager - Engineering Service Manufacturing

Locations: Lagos and Ogun

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead the operations of a new manufacturing facility in the Lagos-Ogun industrial corridor.
• This is a hands-on leadership role requiring exceptional people management skills, operational oversight, and the ability to ensure production targets are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day operations, leading a team of skilled professionals, and ensuring that the factory operates efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:

• Provide strong leadership and direction to all factory staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 11+ employees with varying levels of experience.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Operations Management:

• Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders.
• Manage resource allocation, equipment utilization, and workflow optimization in a CNC machine shop environment.
• Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Performance & Quality Control:

• Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure products meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Stakeholder & Client Relations:

• Act as the primary point of contact between the Nigerian operation and international leadership.
• Prepare and present performance reports to company executives.
• Support strategic initiatives from the parent company and ensure alignment with local operations.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

• Proven track record in a senior operations or general management role within manufacturing, production, or engineering.
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver operational results on time and within budget.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

• Engineering, technical, or manufacturing background (bonus advantage).
• Experience in CNC machining or related manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience in a start-up or facility expansion environment.
