Job Title: Nutrition Manager

Role Purpose
The Project Manager will need to ensure that all aspects of the project are running smoothly and will need to follow up on the day-to-day business of the project, while also ensuring partner monitoring is on track.
The Project Manager is responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan that outlines the project's objectives, scope, timeline, budget, resources, and deliverables, this involves conducting initial feasibility assessments, defining project goals, and creating a roadmap for project execution.
Responsibilities
Technical Support to Program Design and Implementation:
Ensure quality and timely field-level implementation of the Nutrition program against set objectives, targets, and work plans.
Ensure effective implementation of Tom brown Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) across LGAs of intervention.
He/she will work with the technical advisor to provide technical assistance as well as supportive monitoring and evaluation of Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) activities.
Draft supervision guidelines to ensure quality delivery of Outpatient treatments for SAM and MAM in children under five years of age
Mentor and train the technical advisor/ nutrition teams in treatment protocols and support them.
Supervision and provide refresher training on CMAM.
Support regular nutrition program evaluations and rapid assessments identifying needs and making practical recommendations to address them.
Facilitate the conducting of focus group discussions with relevant communities for feedback on program activities.
Provide technical support expertise to the program to align field nutrition programs with NFDP.
Represent NFDP in all sector/ high delegation and donor meetings
He/she should have the ability to negotiate with donors.
Should have good knowledge of writing proposals, and program reports.
Ensure incorporation of innovative tools and strategies in new project and proposal development.
He/she should be able to conduct stakeholder meetings with government agencies.
Ensure donor reports are sent timely.
He/she should have the ability to lead a team
The individual should be able to facilitate training for staff on all project activities.
Participate in and contribute to regular nutrition coordination meetings.
Project Management:
Oversee nutrition job description reviews, recruitment, orientation, and performance reviews for the nutrition team.
Develop nutrition activity work plans based on the program's annual work plan and implement activities promptly
Design and deliver in-house capacity training for nutrition staff of NFDP.
Participate in relevant coordination forums.
Represent NFDP nutrition programming in donor meetings.
Delivers timely quality reporting on project activities, including findings regarding the impact on individuals and communities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or other related fields.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience and Skills:
Previous significant experience in project management.
Previous experience in local or international NGO.
Demonstrated experience in successfully project delivery in humanitarian or development contexts
Experience in coordination with local and international NGOs, representation with donors and humanitarian actors.
Previous experience in managing teams, including staff training and capacity building of organizational staff and partner staff.
