Job Summary
The Sales and Marketing Expert in FMCG is responsible for driving product sales, building strong customer relationships, developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, and expanding market share in highly competitive fast-moving consumer goods markets.
The role requires strong market analysis skills, brand management capabilities, and the ability to achieve aggressive sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners.
Negotiate and close profitable deals while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches to drive brand awareness and sales.
Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, preferences, and competitive activities.
Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with product development teams to align product features with market demands.
Market & Data Analysis:
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to make informed decisions.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review.
Brand Management:
Enhance brand positioning and visibility across target markets.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
Monitor customer feedback and adjust strategies for better engagement.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, finance, and production to ensure product availability and efficient distribution.
Provide training and support to sales teams and distributors to boost product knowledge and selling techniques.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Sales revenue growth.
Market share expansion.
Customer acquisition and retention rates.
Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).
Brand awareness and engagement levels.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
5+ years of proven sales and marketing experience in FMCG.
Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics, distribution networks, and retail trends.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets in competitive markets.
Salary
N150,000 - N250,000 per month.
Salary Range:
Competitive, based on experience, plus performance-based incentives.
