Job Title: Brand Designer

Job Purpose
The Brand Designer supports the Senior Brand Designer and the creative team in executing design tasks and projects that contribute to the company's visual and messaging identity.
Working under supervision, they assist in creating visual assets for digital platforms and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and standards.
Their role involves learning and applying design principles, typography, color theory, and composition to produce high-quality design work that reflects the brand's ethos.
Responsibilities
Visual Identity Support:
Assist in the creation and management of the company's visual identity elements under supervision.
Output: Support in maintaining a visual identity manual for consistency in branding materials.
Creative Execution and Learning:
Execute design tasks and projects under guidance, learning from senior team members.
Output: Contribute to delivering design work aligned with the brand's ethos and standards.
Marketing Material Design:
Support in designing marketing and communication materials, ensuring they align with brand guidelines.
Output: Assist in producing creative materials across digital and print platforms.
Collaboration and Learning:
Collaborate with different teams to understand brand consistency requirements and company initiatives.
Output: Participate in establishing communication channels for consistent brand representation.
Learning and Adaptation:
Stay informed about industry trends and learn from senior team members about design innovations.

Tasks
Assist in Design Strategy Implementation:
Support senior designers in implementing design strategies by executing design tasks and projects according to established strategies.
Collaborate with the creative team to ensure alignment with design direction and brand objectives.
Design Review and Iteration:
Participate in design reviews led by senior designers, offering input and feedback on designs to refine and improve quality.
Assist in iterating on designs based on feedback and requirements from stakeholders.
Attend Team Meetings and Contribute Ideas:
Attend team meetings to understand project briefs, timelines, and deliverables.
Contribute creative ideas and suggestions during brainstorming sessions and collaborative discussions.
Support in Project Planning and Execution:
Assist senior designers in project planning, including organizing tasks, setting timelines, and allocating resources effectively.
Execute design tasks within project timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and brand guidelines.
Communicate with Internal Stakeholders:
Communicate project progress and updates to internal stakeholders under the guidance of senior designers.
Seek clarification on design requirements and feedback from stakeholders as needed.
Contribute to Brand Guidelines Adherence:
Follow established brand guidelines and standards while working on design projects.
Seek clarification from senior designers or brand managers to ensure compliance with brand requirements.
Assist in Quality Control Checks:
Conduct quality checks on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project requirements.
Assist in resolving design issues and refining designs based on quality control feedback.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / equivalent. Common fields of study include Architecture, Human-Computer Interaction, Marketing, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
This provides a foundational understanding of human behavior, research methods, and business principles.
Specialized Certifications (optional but beneficial):
Certifications in areas like UX Design, Marketing, Design, Agile Methodologies, or Project Management can enhance a candidate's profile.
They demonstrate a commitment to staying current with industry trends and methodologies.
Continuing Education:
Continuous learning through workshops, seminars, and online courses in subjects like data science, user experience design, and product management strategies is beneficial.
This shows an ongoing commitment to keeping skills and knowledge up-to-date.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience. This duration allows for foundational learning and practical application of design principles in real-world projects.
Basic understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition, gained through academic coursework or internships.
Experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools, demonstrating proficiency in creating visual assets.
Exposure to brand design, including assisting in the creation of visual elements for digital platforms and marketing materials, under the guidance of senior designers.
Collaboration skills, working effectively within a creative team, following design briefs, and contributing ideas to projects.
Interest in learning multimedia design, including motion graphics, interactive design, and video production, to enhance skills and capabilities.
Basic client interaction skills, participating in client meetings, understanding project requirements, and assisting in presenting design concepts.
Awareness of brand guidelines, adhering to established brand standards and guidelines while contributing to maintaining brand consistency.
