Job Title: Inventory / Logistics Officer

Job Summary
The Inventory & Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating all inventory and logistics activities at the Benin Abattoir.
The role ensures accurate stock management, efficient movement of goods, proper documentation, and timely supply of products to customers and other depots.
This position is critical to maintaining product integrity, reducing losses, and supporting seamless abattoir operations in line with natnudO Foods’ standards
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Carry out daily stock-taking and reconciliation of physical stock with system records.
Monitor product shelf life and ensure proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO principles).
Prevent stock variances, losses, or damages through strong control processes.
Work closely with production and sales teams to align inventory with demand.
Logistics Coordination:
Plan and coordinate product dispatch to customers, depots, and outlets.
Ensure vehicles are properly loaded with correct quantities and documentation.
Track fleet movement and delivery schedules to ensure timely distribution.
Monitor cold chain compliance to maintain product quality during transportation.
Liaise with drivers, dispatch clerks, and security to safeguard goods in transit.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare waybills, delivery notes, stock movement forms, and dispatch records.
Submit daily/weekly/monthly inventory and logistics reports.
Maintain accurate documentation for internal audits and external regulatory compliance.
Investigate and report any stock discrepancies, damages, or losses immediately.
Compliance & Control:
Enforce company policies on inventory and logistics handling.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards in product handling and distribution.
Support audit exercises and provide accurate inventory records on request.
Recommend process improvements to reduce waste, shrinkage, and delays.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
4 years’ experience in inventory and logistics management, preferably in FMCG, agribusiness, or food production.
Experience working with cold chain logistics and perishable products is an added advantage.
