We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supervisor (Operations, Maintenance, Contract Engineer) (PACO) – North Bank Node
Location: Nigeria
Roles and Responsibilities
The personnel will be responsible for the following:
Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
Report and close out Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions
Serves as permit to work signatory and administer safe system of work.
Apply the Health Safety Security and Environment policy, legislation applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
Carry out first line maintenance on the instrumentation systems on pumps, motors, separators, and valves.
Adhere to plant operating procedures.
Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
Collaborate with Plant operators to execute front line maintenance activities in the plant.
Supervise the activities of the frontline maintenance team.
Troubleshooting of safety critical equipment and control/safeguarding system.
Supporting the production staff in maintaining facilities.
Assist the maintenance team to cope with high number of activities to sustain asset integrity/equipment availability.
Assist to ensure Technical Integrity and safe operation of new process & utility system to achieve the facility’s objectives.
Identify any area of new facilities requiring Change Control and document the change proposal.
Provide specification for critical spare/or replacement with vendor details (e.g. Hard disc for compressor control, etc)
Review operating/maintenance procedure under current reality and propose changes.
Develop (Maintenance Job Routines) MJRs/maintenance procedures and work packs.
Identify vendor support requirement for equipment maintenance.
Provide technical support in repairing outstanding mal-functioning equipment (e.g. crude transfer pumps etc)
Liaison with OEMs for trouble shooting, spare parts, field technical supports etc.
Support the maintenance (operation) team in all trouble shooting exercises.
Carryout maintenance routine activities in line with company standards, local and international standards.
Participate in equipment failure RCA (Root Cause Analysis), investigation and improvement initiatives.
Participation in MFI (Management Facility Inspections) and HSE meetings
Close out assigned MFI/audit actions and other assignments for continuous improvements (AMS process application: RCAs, MTO, MEC etc.) as exigent.
Minimum Requirements
OND / HND / University degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or sciences with a minimum of 10 years work experience in instrumentation, control and automation (PACO) systems engineering and maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 4years in a Supervisory role.
PACO field supervisor must have skill level competence in DCS(DeltaV)/SIS(HIMA)/Fieldbus instrumentation systems engineering and maintenance; Allen
Bradley Systems engineering and maintenance; SMART Systems engineering and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings (PEFS, P&IDs, C&E etc)
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and word)
Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
Knowledge of Process and Personal safety
T_BOSIET certification
Skills (Added advantage):
Experience in operations/maintenance of export and booster compressors (eg Siemens) and Solar Turbines
Prior work experience in a Renaissance production facility (PACO discipline) will be an added advantage.

Work Cycle:
The work location is North Bank node and accessible via water and Air.
The job activity period is daily on 12 hours (7am to 7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arise.
