Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract (12 months)

Job Summary

• The company is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the preparation of workshop drawings and guided execution onsite.

Key Responsibilities
In addition to being able to perform the duties of a trainee Engineer, carries out the following responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of workshop drawings.
• Filing of workshop drawings and documentation.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of electrical-related work onsite.
• Interpretation and guided execution of workshop drawings.
• Submits site reports, inspection requests etc,regularly.
• Provide engineering support to site workers.
• Assist in ensuring that all work is done according to theapproved drawings, project specifications and all applicable standards.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

OHSE Responsibilities:

• Perform work safely to protect yourself and others from harm.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment, obeying the safety signs and other related policies.
• Not intentionally tampering with or misusing equipment, devices or other means provided by the organization that is used to keep the workplace safe and healthy.
• Report all identified defects and potential hazards in the workplace.
• Inform your Supervisor/HSE Representatives/HSE Officer or QHSE Manager about any workplace injury, illnesses, incidents (near misses and accidents).
• Be familiar with the emergency and evacuation procedures and the location of the emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kit, etc.), to be able to protect themselves in the event of emergencies.
• Continuously implementing environmental awareness in the organization with climate change, waste reduction and energy efficiency.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or professional body memberships are a plus.
• Must have a strong understanding of electrical principles and systems.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software like AutoCAD and MATLAB.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with teams and writing reports.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

Compensation
N200,000 Monthly net.
