Project’s Overview
GRA is the implementing partner for a portfolio of survivor-centered projects across 19 local government areas in northeast Nigeria. These projects are strategically funded by a diverse group of international partners: theMukwege Foundation, theGlobal Survivor Fund (GSF), theFrench Embassy, andWe Are Not Weapons of War (WWOW). Through these strategic collaborations, we are working to strengthen the network ofConflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV)survivors by providing integrated support. This includes offering tailoredlivelihood empowermentand essentialtrauma-informed psychosocial servicesto facilitate healing and economic stability.
We are also building the capacity of survivor-led networks, enabling them to become powerful advocates for their own rights. A key component of our work involves utilizinginnovative technology by combining direct survivor support with strategic capacity building and cutting-edge technology, we are helping to build a sustainable foundation for resilience and long-term empowerment in the region.
Job Summary
As a Senior Administration & HR Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization.
You'll work as part of a team to provide comprehensive administrative and human resources support, maintaining a positive and productive work environment for all staff.
This role requires a highly organized professional with experience across the entire HR lifecycle and meticulous attention to detail in administrative management. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of professional development, employee engagement, and efficient resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources:
Manage the entire recruitment process, from developing job descriptions and screening candidates to interviewing and onboarding new staff.
Oversee employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
Ensure full compliance with all Nigerian labor laws and regulationsrelated to compensation, benefits, and leave management.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure a fair and consistent work environment.
Coordinateemployee training and development opportunities.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Provideguidance and supportto staff on all HR-related matters.
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the GRA team, including scheduling meetings, managing travel arrangements, and coordinating logistics for staff and visitors.
Oversee office logistics, including the procurement of supplies, equipment maintenance, and space management.
Manage the administrative budget, ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources.
Maintain accurate and organized filing systems(both physical and digital).
Draftcorrespondence, presentations, and reports as needed.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At leastfive years of progressive experience in an HR and/or administrative role, with a strong focus on the full employee lifecycle and office management.
Excellent knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proven experience working with multicultural teams in challenging environments.
Most Preferred Skills:
Experience managing HR and administration for a multi-state organization.
Experience withHR information systems (HRIS)and administrative management software.
Highly proficient in MS Office(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Strong planning, time management, and project management skills.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Results-oriented, professional, accountable, and proactive.
Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
