Sansa Home Waters, a water processing plant in Kuje, Abuja, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Reports to: Operations Manager / Plant Manager

Job Summary

• Machine Operators run specific equipment in the production line including bottle blowing, filling, capping, labeling, and shrink wrapping.
• They ensure machines operate smoothly and maintain high productivity with minimal wastage.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Production:

• Operate and monitor water processing, filtration, and packaging machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Adjust machine settings to achieve optimal performance and maintain production targets.
• Load raw materials (e.g., bottles, caps, packaging) into machines and ensure smooth operation.

Quality Control:

• Conduct routine quality checks on processed water, bottles, and packaging to meet NAFDAC and internal standards.
• Report any deviations or defects to the Production Supervisor immediately.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Conduct machine start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Escalate complex technical faults to the maintenance team.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow workplace safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
• Adhere to NAFDAC regulations, SON standards, and company policies on water processing.
• Maintain accurate production records and material usage logs.

KPIs

• Machine uptime (% of shift).
• Waste level (raw material or bottles).
• Output vs. expected rate per shift.
• Machine error reports and resolution time.
• Safety compliance score.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a water bottling or beverage plant (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of water purification processes and packaging equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues.
• Good understanding of safety and hygiene practices in food and beverage production.
• Physically fit and able to work nine (9) hours of shifts.
• Proximity to the plant’s location is highly encouraged.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 per month.
