Job Description

• We are looking for a motivated and skilled eCommerce Developer who builds with Magento to join our small, dynamic IT team.
• This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in our digital transformation, working on our B2B and B2C eCommerce sites and corporate websites.
• You will work closely with the Head of IT and have the autonomy to manage your projects, bringing fresh ideas and technical expertise to the table.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain our eCommerce platforms, primarily focusing on our existing Magento site while also working with platforms like Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce and WordPress.
• Design and build modern, user-friendly, and visually appealing eCommerce websites and corporate sites.
• Implement SEO best practices to ensure our websites are fully optimised and rank well in search engines.
• Ensure the security and data privacy of our websites, implementing robust measures to protect customer data and company assets.
• Collaborate with the Head of IT to plan and execute new website features, functionalities, and integrations.
• Perform regular website updates, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure smooth operation.
• Work independently and manage projects from conception to launch with minimal supervision.

What You will Bring

• 3+ years of professional experience in eCommerce development.
• Proven experience with a variety of eCommerce platforms, including Magento, Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce and WordPress.
• Strong understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with backend development, including PHP and database management (MySQL).
• Solid knowledge of SEO principles and how to implement them effectively.
• A keen eye for design and a passion for creating excellent user experiences.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and data protection regulations.
• The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and take ownership of your projects.
• A portfolio or examples of previous work on eCommerce sites would be a significant advantage.

N300,000 - N350,000 / month.
