Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Awe, Oyo

Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that poultry breeding farm operations strictly comply with established biosecurity, hygiene, and quality standards.
The role requires proactive monitoring of flock health, farm practices, staff compliance, and operational protocols to safeguard breeder flock productivity, prevent disease outbreaks, and maintain industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Biosecurity and Hygiene Compliance:
Implement and enforce biosecurity protocols across all breeder farm units.
Monitor entry/exit controls, disinfection procedures, and staff compliance with hygiene standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential biosecurity gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Flock Health & Farm Operations Monitoring:
Work closely with veterinary teams to monitor flock health and report abnormalities.
Ensure feed, water, and environmental quality meet required standards for flock welfare.
Support disease prevention measures through routine sampling, testing, and surveillance.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Develop and implement quality assurance procedures aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
Maintain documentation of inspections, audits, corrective actions, and quality reports.
Ensure compliance with national and international poultry breeding and hatchery standards.
Training & Staff Engagement:
Train farm staff on biosecurity, hygiene, and quality management practices.
Drive a culture of quality and accountability across all farm operations.
Mentor employees on adherence to farm standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Risk Management & Reporting:
Identify operational risks related to disease outbreaks, contamination, or non-compliance.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on farm quality and biosecurity status.
Collaborate with management to develop improvement plans and preventive strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Microbiology, Veterinary Public Health, Poultry Production, or Quality Management System.
3–4 years of relevant experience in breeder farm operations, biosecurity, or farm hygiene management.
Strong knowledge of poultry farm management practices, biosecurity principles, and flock health monitoring.
Experience with quality assurance systems, audits, and compliance standards.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements for poultry breeding operations.
