Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Middle NodeJS Engineer to lead all technical aspects of the platform.
• The ideal candidate will have deep experience with NodeJS, AWS, Pulumi, Prisma ORM, Git, and GitLab.
• This role will drive the company’s technology strategy, ensure the robustness and scalability of the platform, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Actively participate in coding and code reviews, particularly in NodeJS and Prisma ORM.
• Cloud Management: Oversee the architecture and deployment of our platform on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Version Control: Manage version control systems, specifically Git and GitLab, to ensure efficient and reliable development workflows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to deliver high-quality products and features.
• Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and managing resources effectively.
• Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
• Security: Ensure that all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Budget Management: Manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with NodeJS, cloud platforms and technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth company environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience writing NodeJS backends in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Technical Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, NodeJS, Prisma ORM, Git, and GitLab.
• Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
