Job Summary

• We are seeking an Accountant to support the accounting operations, assist in financial reporting and analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Your role as an accountant is to prepare accounts, budget, and manage financial information. You will be advising the organisation on financial matters as they relate to the strategic direction.

Job Description

• Oversees Accounting operations, which include financial accounting, accounts payable, and payroll
• Prepare, examine, or analyse accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of the general ledger and internal accounts.
• Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing periodic reports to ensure performance.
• Maintains the best fixed asset system.
• Provide advice and assistance in making decisions in the areas of finances.
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Prepare all monthly client invoicing and vendor payments.
• Coordinate the accounting team by determining priorities.
• Reconcile the organisation’s bank account, and resolve any statement queries.
• Raise payment vouchers, Manage overall expenditure
• Document the project financial account.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited University
• Relevant professional qualifications, e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPFA, etc., are an added advantage
• 4-5 years of demonstrable experience in accounting
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.

Salary
N400,000 - N500,000 Monthly (Gross).
