Job Summary
The need for the data consultants is justified based on the reasons highlighted below:
To sustain historic gains and break the cVPV2 transmission, UNICEF has been supporting the Government of Nigeria through the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC), State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) and other coordinating bodies in its Outbreak Response as the lead Social and Behaviour Change partner.
To help UNICEF make informed decisions by analyzing social data to understand the social barriers to immunization after every campaign and providing insights, visualization and recommendations based on that analysis to the government and other GPEI partners.
The complexity and scope of our current data-related initiatives necessitate additional expertise to ensure accurate and timely analysis.

Job Details
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Work closely with the government and partners at the national and state level to ensure timely availability of campaign related social data analysis.
Conduct in-depth analysis of state data and share feedback with state, LGA and ward supervisors.
Collect, compile, quality assure and submit RI/polio data from Volunteer Community Mobilizers (VCM) catchment areas on timely manner.
Implement quantitative and qualitative rapid assessment pre and post campaign particularly on social and behaviors factors in Outbreak Responses (OBRs) and SIAs.
Ensure the timely availability of data for VCM-net performance monitoring and accountability reports.
Ensure Pre campaign, Campaign and Post campaign data uploaded to the server and timely analyzed.
Support the collection, collation, and reporting of individual missed children’s data after every campaign.
Attend NEOC/SEOC meetings and provide technical support to the data team.
Real time monitoring and reporting of UNICEF Management Support Team (MST) participation during polio campaigns.
Organize capacity development trainings on data management for health workers in UNICEF supported facilities as well as State and LGA team.
Support the VSLs to monitor vaccine stock out in all UNICEF supported HFs.
Work closely with the State team, SEMCHIC and SERICC to ensure timely submissions of RI and RISS data.
Deliverables
Technical support for evidence generation, Monitoring & Evaluation and HIS strengthening for the National EOC and State EOCs.
Support SIA campaigns- both polio and Non-polio SIAs. Analysis of post-campaign data for decision making (IM, LQAS, Tally sheet, Redo/NC data) and maintain database for individualized missed children’s data.
Technically support Risk Communication and Demand Generation (RCDG) and Data team working group in the NEOC for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Submit Weekly communication feedback, ANC & RI summary from VCM settlements and share feedback with national and state teams.
Organized at least two capacity development training for the state team on data management and reporting.
Monitor and report UNICEF SF, LGAF and Ward supervisors’ participation during SIAs, real-time monitoring and submission of ODK reports.
Technically support coordinating bodies like SEMCHIC and SERICC in data analysis and visualization (granular analysis of DHIS2 data to identify low-performing LGAs/Wards/HFs).
Requirements
Education Background:
An advanced University Degree in one of the following fields is required: Social Science, Demography, Computer sciences, Geographic Information Systems, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Education, or a relevant field.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English as a working language. Knowledge of another UN language an asset.
Work Experience:
5 years of relevant experience.
