We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize payment partners across Africa that align with our strategic growth objectives.
• Conduct technical assessments of payment providers prior to contracting.
• Create and maintain the payment integration roadmap, managing priorities and backlog.
• Build and optimize products across Core Banking, Card Acquiring and Issuing, Bank Transfers, Virtual Accounts, and Alternative Payments.
• Design integration solutions that maximize business value, user experience, and operational efficiency.
• Lead the integration development process from the product side, collaborating closely with engineering and partner teams.
• Deliver successful integrations to market, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance standards are met.
• Stay ahead of global payment trends and translate them into actionable strategies in the African context.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships

Requirements

• Deep understanding of the Nigerian online and in-person payments ecosystem, including banks, PSPs, wallets, switching networks, merchant acquiring, and card schemes.
• 6+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, or financial services, with a track record of delivering complex integrations.
• Experience building or scaling payments infrastructure across rails such as Core Banking, Cards (issuing & acquiring), Bank Transfers, Virtual Accounts, and Alternative Payments.
• Strong technical knowledge of payment APIs, transaction flows, settlement processes, and fraud/risk considerations.
• Experience working closely with partners (banks, PSPs, fintechs) to drive adoption, improve retention, and resolve integration issues.
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across countries and cultures.
• Experience in other African markets and/or exposure to global payment trends is a plus.
