Job Description

• Our client is seeking to hire a Head of Credit & Risk Management, who will oversee the bank’s credit portfolio, develop effective risk management frameworks, and ensure sound lending practices that balance profitability with prudence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the credit and risk management team to achieve set portfolio quality and growth targets.
• Design and implement credit policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
• Evaluate, approve, and monitor loan applications to minimize credit risk.
• Ensure adherence to CBN regulations and internal lending policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop measures to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Prepare credit and risk management reports for management and the Board

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other Social Sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit and risk management, preferably in a Microfinance Bank.
• A professional qualification such as CIBN, ICAN, or ACCA is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead a team and drive performance effectively.
