FAcE-PaM’s is a Partner to CARE International in the implementation of Catalysing Strengthened policy aCtion for healthy Diets and resilience (CASCADE) Project.
CASCADE Project is a Programme being implemented by CARE International and Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) with funding from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. CASCADE is a 4.5-year (2022-2026) programme implemented across six countries (Nigeria, Benin, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda). In Nigeria, the program aims to strengthen nutrition systems that contribute to ending malnutrition for 1.1 million women of reproductive age and children under the age of 5 and is being implemented in the State of Bauchi, Jigawa, Kebbi and Nasarawa States.

Job Description
FAcE-PaM seeks to recruit Social Action Analysis Facilitators for Jigawa and Kebbi states, from LGA’s of implementation as follows: Kebbi State- Argungu. Bunza, Birnin Kebbi and Suru.
Jigawa State –Jahun, Ringim, Kafin Hausa, Dutse, Kiyawa, Birnin Kudu, Hadeja, and Kaugama.

Summary of Position
Social Action and Analysis Facilitators (Gender Champions) under the direct supervision of the Gender Technical Officer, are responsible for facilitating SAA sessions at the community level, supporting gender mainstreaming activities, and leading activities that support gender equality, enhance the protection of community members and raise awareness on key GBV issues/topics.
The Gender Champions will support the Gender Officer during gender activities, facilitate referrals to other partners and support community health workers to conduct sensitisation sessions on health, gender, protection and GBV topics in the safe spaces and through community outreach.
The position holder will also participate in and prepare for special days commemorations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the programme team to identify and establish a gender-sensitive and community-appropriate accountability and referral mechanism for beneficiaries at the community level.
Ensure close interaction with the M&E team and assist in mobilising community members during the data collection exercise.
Build up a collaborative network of peers, government agencies and local NGOs engaged in issues related to gender, coordinate and collaborate on research, programming and advocacy.
Support the Gender Officer during training.
Facilitate SAA sessions with women, men, girls and boys and provide group sessions on gender equality, GBV, protection topics and other NGOs providing services in the communities.
Providing door-to-door awareness raising on gender discrimination, GBV, child rights/marriage and all other protection-related topics.
Assist in supervising the community health workers and conduct meetings with women of reproductive age and men.
Participate in weekly meetings with the supervisor and provide weekly work plans and reports to the supervisor.
Document best practices and lessons learned.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including partner organisations, community structures and service providers.
Identify and report success stories/ case studies.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by FAcE-PaM’s Management.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma / HND / B.Sc in law, Social Science, Administration or any related field.
At least 2 (two) years of experience in gender programming, including Protection or GBV, and women’s economic empowerment
Commitment to enhancing human rights and gender equality
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, word processing, and database packages
Ability to work under pressure, independently and in a team environment
