We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: High and Low Tension Operation & Maintenance Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Purpose
Will be responsible for the day to day works related to operations and maintenance activities of high and low tension distribution network.
Role Accountabilities
Assist in preparing and updating the route map for 33/11 kv underground cables
Assist in formation of strategy for maintenance of the HT/LT lines to ensure that objectives of reliability and continuity of supply are met
Assist in preparing the operations and maintenance reports weekly/monthly and annually
Maintain and monitor the database on HT and LT lines, attends to faults, repairs and other operational/maintenance data for network performance improvement
Develop and implement planned maintenance strategies and schedules for 33kV/11kV feeders, LV overhead lines, switchgears, and injection substations.
Organize and coordinate daily fault clearing both on HT & LT overhead and underground network.
Coordinate and monitor the execution of maintenance activities ensuring proper job assignment, timely execution, quality assurance, and documentation.
Monitor all BU network fault clearing on both overhead and undergroun d network, tracking of pending faults across BU networks, and follow up with the NOMs to identify bottlenecks in resolution.
Support and oversee periodic field inspections, deploying thermo vision cameras to identify hotspots , escalating critical defects and proposing corrective actions for deteriorating or unsafe assets.
Organize and coordinate trace widening across the BU networks to increase network reliability.
Organize and coordinate rendition of monthly tripping report s, submission of periodic maintenance reports to internal management and relevant regulatory authorities (e.g. NERC) ensuring transparency & compliance.
Organize and coordinate data collation and analysis of the tripping reports across the BU networks, using same to monitor feeder tripping frequency and recommend HT & LT reconductoring and rehabilitation based on data insights.
Maintaining cordial relationships with governmental agencies (e.g. LASIMRA, LASPARK, LASERC etc.) to ensure seamless operation across IE network.
Encourage, foster and champion effective cross functional teamwork to align maintenance activities with network operations.
Escalate fault re solution delays caused by materials constraints to the Head (O&M) and propose alternative closure strategies.
Conversion of indoor to outdoor 33kV bus for network expansion and flexibility in line with TCN projects.
Re arrangement of 33kV feeders and loa d evacuation from newly installed and commissioned power transformers at TCN stations.
Organize and coordinate the installation of new isolators and auto reclosers as well as replacement of obsolete ones across IE network
Comply with Quality Management System / Occupational Health & Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
Assist in Carry out any other duties as requested by the Head of Department.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years work experience.
