Job Description

• We are seeking an innovative and passionate Maths Tutor / Lesson Designer to join our growing team at V3C Technologies Limited DBA Slate.ng, an exciting edtech startup transforming learning across Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong teaching skills with creativity in lesson design to deliver engaging maths content for KS-12 learners.
• You will be responsible for creating high-quality, curriculum-aligned lessons based on American, British, and Nigerian standards, as well as providing tutoring support to help students excel in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
Lesson Design and Content Development:

• Develop interactive and engaging maths lessons tailored to KS-12 learners.
• Create lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and multimedia resources aligned with American, British, and Nigerian curricula.
• Use real-life applications and problem-based learning to make maths relatable and enjoyable.
• Design differentiated materials to cater to varying levels of learner ability.

Tutoring and Learner Support:

• Deliver tutoring sessions to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Provide personalised support and strategies to help learners build confidence and improve performance.
• Track learner progress, identify gaps, and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
• Offer constructive feedback to learners and communicate progress updates to parents where applicable.

Digital Content and LMS Management:

• Upload and manage maths content on the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Incorporate interactive tools, simulations, and gamified learning elements to enhance engagement.
• Regularly review and update content to maintain accuracy and relevance.

Collaboration and Innovation:

• Work closely with other tutors, lesson designers, and curriculum analysts to ensure consistency across content.
• Stay informed on best practices in maths education, edtech tools, and pedagogy.
• Incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to improve lesson quality and delivery.

Qualifications
Educational Background:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a related field.
• Teaching certification and/or proven tutoring experience in KS-12 maths is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong command of mathematical concepts across KS-12 levels.
• Familiarity with American, British, and Nigerian curricula.
• Ability to simplify complex topics and make maths engaging.
• Proficiency in using edtech tools.
• Experience with LMS platforms and digital resource creation.
• Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.
