Summary

• Our client is looking to recruit a Corporative State Manager (SM) across Nigeria. The individual will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operations of the cooperative business within their assigned state.
• This role ensures effective management of resources, supervision of key state-level staff, and alignment of state performance with the overall organizational goals.
• The State Manager drives growth, compliance, and operational excellence while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Safe Nest cooperative operations within the assigned state.
• Supervise and provide leadership to the Cooperative Manager, and Accountant within that state.
• Develop and implement state-specific business strategies aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Monitor state performance, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and maintain alignment with corporate goals.
• Ensure compliance with cooperative and financial regulations at the state level.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, financial institutions, and community partners.
• Drive membership growth, member engagement, and satisfaction within the cooperative.
• Identify business opportunities and develop initiatives to expand the cooperative’s impact in the state.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for state team members.
• Manage state budgets, financial reporting, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Any other assigned task, as deemed fit by the General Manager

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's / Master's Degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cooperative management, financial services, or related fields at the state level.
• Proven leadership experience managing dispersed and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Cooperative Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• Strong knowledge of cooperative laws, financial services, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
