Job Title: District Sales Manager
Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Description
As part of our strategic expansion and commitment to commercial excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Sales Manager (DSM) to lead our sales operations across our different key territories.
This role is critical to driving our market performance. strengthening trade relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of our sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the District Sales Team. including Sales Representatives (SRS). Van Sales
Representatives (VSRs), and Distributors' Sales Representatives (DSRs).
Ensure route call compliance and adherence to journey plans across the district.
Conduct accompaniment, spot checks, and back checks with team mernbers to provide on-the-job
training and performance evaluation.
Organize and preside Over regular District Sales Team meetings to drive alignment and motivation.
Establish. develop, and maintain Strong business relationships with Trade Channel Members
(Distributors, Bulk Breakers, Retailers).
Conduct routine sales calls to Trade Channel Members to strengthen engagement and gather
market intelligence.
Prospect and recommend credible new Trade Channel Members for appointments within the
district.
Execute approved sales strategies and trade activations within the assigned district.
Identify and propose new opportunities for sales volume qrowth, numeric distribution, and market share expansion.
Ensure distributor stock coverage and prevent out-of-stock situations for Champion Breweries brands.
Render all required sales reports, including competition tracking, to the Sales Admin Manager
(SAM) on time and in full (OT IF) across daily. weekly, monthly, biannual, and annual cycles.
Monitor and report on district performance against KPIs. identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.
Comply with all ISO-based management systems, including policies occupational health and safety, food safety. quality. and environmental management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is considered an added advantage.
Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in sales management. preferably within the FMCG or beverage industry.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of sales processes. strategies, and trade activation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to analyze sales data. generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with ISO•based management systems (ISO 9001. ISO 22000. ISO 14001. ISO 45001) and TPM methodology is highly desirable.
Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to develop and support sales teams.
High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned sales district.

Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
