Registrar at the Federal College of Education, Jama'are

Federal College of Education, Jama'are, is situated in the town of Jama’are area of Bauchi state. The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) became the funding and Policy control agency responsible for the supervision of the college and all other Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Jama'are, Bauchi

Duties

• The Registrar is the chief Administrative Officer of the college and is responsible to the provost for the day-to-day administration and control of the administrative affairs of the College, as well as the Secretary to the Council and Academic Board.
• The candidates for the position are expected to keep the records and conduct the correspondence of the council, direct and coordinate the operations of the administrative system of the college.
• He/she would, however, be responsible to the provost.

Qualifications
Candidates for the post of registrar must possess the following requirements:

• A good honours Degree in any of the Social Sciences / Arts subjects from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 15 years cognate experience plus full registration with recognized professional management personal body.
• Most possess a relevant Master's Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
• Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15 or its equivalent from a similar Tertiary Institution for at least (3) years.
• Proficiency in information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Evidence of attendance of a continuous mandatory Professional Development course is required.

Other Requirements:

• Candidates must not be more than 59 years as of the time of assumption of duty.

Conditions of Service

• The Successful candidate will be entitled to the privileges and benefits specified in the terms and Conditions of Service for Staff of Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria and according to other conditions which may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the College in Consultation with the National Commission for Colleges of Education.

Tenure

• Appointment of the candidate is for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of appointment.
