We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Manager to oversee our entire product portfolio: solar panels, inverters, new battery systems, and the management of scrap batteries.
This role is pivotal in developing and executing business strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share across all product lines.
The ideal candidate will be a commercial leader with deep technical understanding, a passion for sustainability, and a proven track record in managing a complex P&L.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
Develop and implement the overall business strategy for the renewable energy division, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and growth initiatives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in emerging markets and customer segments (residential, commercial, industrial).
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, distributors, and large-scale clients.
Lead negotiations for major contracts and supply agreements.
Sales & Marketing Management:
Drive the sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets for all product categories (solar, inverter, battery, scrap).
Oversee the marketing strategy, including digital marketing, trade shows, and technical workshops, to enhance brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust tactics and capitalize on opportunities.
Product & Portfolio Management:
Act as the commercial owner for the product portfolio, making decisions on product mix, pricing, and inventory levels based on market demand and profitability.
Work with technical teams to understand product features, benefits, and applications to effectively position them in the market.
Conduct ongoing competitor and product benchmarking.
Scrap Battery & Circular Economy Program:
Develop and manage the commercial strategy for the collection, processing, and resale of scrap and end-of-life batteries.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and responsible recycling practices.
Establish and manage partnerships with recycling facilities and logistics providers.
Monetize the scrap stream effectively, turning waste into a revenue-generating asset.
Financial & Operational Management:
Manage the P&L for the entire business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions to ensure profitability targets are met.
Optimize supply chain and inventory management to balance cost efficiency with product availability.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination:
Lead, mentrong collaboration between sales, marketing, operations, logistics, and technical support teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a strong plus.
Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in a senior commercial or business management role, preferably within the renewable energy, solar, energy storage, or power electronics industry.
Must-have: Proven experience managing a P&L and demonstrable success in driving revenue growth.
Must-have: Solid technical understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and battery chemistry.
Direct experience with the logistics, regulations, and market dynamics of scrap battery management and recycling is highly desirable.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Proven leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
