Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• To provide financial planning, investment analysis, and business insights that support Strivo’s strategic goals, fundraising efforts, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
• Evaluate business cases, new investments, and product initiatives.
• Analyze performance metrics for Strivo’s e-commerce and financial service operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
• Support fundraising activities by preparing investor materials and due diligence documentation.
• Monitor market and industry trends to inform financial strategy.
• Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track KPIs.
• Partner with finance, product, and operations teams to optimize margins and cash flow.
• Support budgeting and cost control initiatives.
• Identify risks and opportunities in financial and investment activities.

KPIs

• Accuracy of forecasts vs actual performance.
• ROI on new investments and initiatives.
• Timeliness and quality of financial reporting.
• Contribution to successful fundraising or investor engagement.
• Insights that drive measurable cost savings or revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional certifications (CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a financial analyst, investment analyst, or related role.
• Proven experience in investment management, e-commerce, or fintech environments.
• Experience supporting investor relations or fundraising is a strong plus.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Deep understanding of investment management, capital markets, and/or e-commerce financial dynamics.
• Excellent data analysis, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and financial planning tools.
• Ability to communicate financial insights to both technical and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically.
