Job Title: Senior Service Representative – Precision Cooling (HVAC)
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Service Representative – Precision Cooling ( HVAC ) .
This role is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of customer HVAC systems.
The Field Service Representative (FSR) will support Schneider HVAC products through retrofitting, servicing, and providing technical assistance both in the workshop and at customer sites.
The scope may also include working on competitor equipment.
Experienced FSRs are expected to mentor and guide junior team members by sharing technical expertise and providing hands-on instruction.
Responsibilities include performing warranty and recall services, testing circuits and equipment using tools such as computers, software, workstations, and circuit diagrams, and diagnosing equipment issues by interpreting maintenance manuals and applying knowledge of systems and electronics.
FSRs must be available to respond to emergency service calls, maintain service tools and documentation, and identify potential sales opportunities.
All interventions must be planned and executed in full compliance with safety protocols, including the use of protective equipment and adherence to prevention plans.
What will you do?
Adhere to all safety and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct startup and commissioning activities for Schneider Electric products, as well as potentially for competitor equipment.
Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC and electrical systems.
Analyze and interpret technical documentation, regulatory requirements, and equipment issues to provide accurate and effective solutions.
Review and communicate technical findings and report results to customers and internal stakeholders.
Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Obtain and maintain certifications and accreditations as required by business needs and local regulations.
Actively contribute to team initiatives to support departmental and organizational goals (SIM1).
Understand the scope of work, manage time effectively, and ensure accurate documentation (e.g., timesheets, change orders).
Collaborate with planners, coordinators, and project managers to assess and prepare for site conditions.
Escalate any quality or technical issues identified during field operations.
Demonstrate understanding of the EcoStruxure offer and provide technical insights to customers.
Utilize all Schneider Electric digital tools designed for Field Service Representatives.
Maintain records of installed base and serviceable assets.
Advise customers on opportunities to optimize their installed base and support lead generation efforts.
Conduct basic audits of customer electrical systems and equipment (e.g., MPS walkthroughs).
Deliver field service operations with a focus on exceptional customer experience, representing the Schneider Electric brand with excellence.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
Degree in Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least 6 years of proven experience as a field service representative on HVAC units.
Proactive, self-starter and a team player.
Good knowledge of HVAC Controllers.
Must have experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, test and measurement equipment, knowledge of electrical and mechanical codes, and in-depth knowledge of mechanical and refrigeration principles is required.
A high level of customer service skills is required, as well as the ability to perform troubleshooting.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skill.
