The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing corporate, hospitality, and promotional events.
The role requires strong creativity, project management skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional events that enhance brand visibility, engage stakeholders, and drive business objectives.
The ideal candidate must be highly organized, resourceful, and experienced in handling events across diverse industries within a group structure.
Role Responsibilities
Event Planning and Strategy
Develop and implement event concepts and strategies aligned with business objectives.
Create detailed event project plans including budgets, timelines, vendor lists, and risk assessments.
Identify opportunities for innovative events to promote products and services.
Event Execution and Coordination
Oversee the end-to-end execution of events including conferences, product launches, retail activations, corporate gatherings, and VIP engagements.
Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, catering, décor, entertainment, and technical requirements.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency and quality service delivery.
Stakeholder and Client Engagement
Work with internal departments, partners, and sponsors to ensure event objectives are met.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, VIPs, and stakeholders before, during, and after events.
Ensure seamless hospitality and guest experience at all events.
Budgeting and Financial Oversight
Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring effective allocation and monitoring of costs.
Track expenses and deliver events within approved budgets without compromising quality.
Marketing and Promotion
Collaborate with the communications team to design event marketing campaigns across digital, print, and media channels.
Develop pre- and post-event promotional activities to maximize visibility and ROI.
Risk and Compliance Management
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to ensure smooth event execution.
Ensure events comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Collect feedback and measure event success against KPIs and business objectives.
Prepare post-event reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Event Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional certifications in Event Management, PR, or Hospitality are an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in event planning and management, preferably in a group structure, hospitality, retail, or corporate environment.
Demonstrated success in delivering high-profile events and managing multi-vendor projects.
