We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from initiation to completion.
The role involves ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing client expectations and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Main Responsibilities
Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Ensure that projects meet all predetermined specifications and objectives.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using approved verification techniques.
Measure and evaluate project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Ensure full compliance with standards, specifications, and quality regulations.
Coordinate, Manage and supervise all construction activities on site.
Ensure projects are executed within the approved timelines and budgets.
Participate in pre-site and on-site debriefings with project teams and professionals.
Communicate and enforce adherence to site procedures.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialists to ensure smooth project delivery.
Conduct and oversee quality control and safety checks on site.
Facilitate site surveys, measurements, client briefings, and site meetings.
Investigate delays, damages, or accidents on site and ensure corrective procedures are implemented.
Control the delivery, issuance, and use of materials on site.
Supervise workers’ performance, quality of work, attendance, and punctuality.
Maintain cordial relationships with host communities and regulatory authorities.
Prepare and submit detailed periodic project reports and documentation.
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in as a Project Manager, Site Supervisor or Construction Manager, preferably in the engineering consulting industry.
Professional certifications in Project Management (such as PMP, PRINCE2, COREN, or equivalent) are preferred.
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
Familiarity with Abuja and its terrain.
