Job Title: Operations / Execution Lead

Location: Abuja (FCT), Nigeria (with potential for international exposure)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Senior Lead, Strategic Finance & Group Operations, and Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Job Description

• Our client is currently in a transition phase, evolving from a lean structure into a HoldCo model, which will include W2A Connect), W2A Capital, W2A Trade, W2A Impact Foundation, and W2A Farms & Extension Services. Strengthening operations and execution is central to achieving this transformation. 

Role Overview

• The Operations / Execution Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the Company'sstrategic goals are effectively translated into actionable workplans, processes, and systems across all departments and activities, while also supporting the organization’s evolution into a HoldCo structure.
• This role is the engine room of execution, driving organizational discipline, accountability, and performance management, while ensuring that strategic ambitions translate into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
Workplans, Processes & Systems:

• Develop and oversee comprehensive departmental and organizational workplans aligned with W2A’s strategic objectives.
• Design, implement, and refine processes, workflows, and SOPs across all departments and activities to improve efficiency and accountability.
• Ensure systems and structures evolve in line with W2A’s transition into a HoldCo.

Performance & Execution Management:

• Monitor project execution, flag bottlenecks, and enforce timely corrective actions.
• Lead performance management processes, ensuring deliverables and milestones are consistently achieved.
• Coordinate reporting mechanisms to provide management with clear visibility on execution status.

Reporting & Accountability:

• Consolidate reports from all departments and synthesize into weekly and monthly executive dashboards.
• Provide management with real-time insights into organizational progress and bottlenecks. 4. Culture of Excellence

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Success in this role will be measured by the ability to drive organizational discipline, ensure timely execution, and build systems that sustain W2A’s growth, profitability, and impact.
• The Operations/Execution Lead will be part of the leadership team and instrumental in ensuring W2A reaches a point where processes and systems streamline work, making the organization more efficient, accountable, and delivery-focused.

Requirements

• Experience: 5–8 years in operations, project management, consulting, or execution focused roles within investment, development, or trade facilitation organizations.
• Skillset: Strong in systems building, process design, project management, and performance tracking.
• Mindset: Execution-driven, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable balancing structure with adaptability in a transitioning organization.

Competencies:

• Ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills.
• High emotional intelligence and team coordination skills.
• Familiarity with investment, donor, trade facilitation, or export landscapes is an advantage.
